Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu and half day sightseeing

Alt: 1,350m. Overnight Hotel.
We will pick you for the airport and transfer to the hotel. There will be a full tour briefing in the evening. Half day sightseeing at Swayambhunath – more commonly known as the Monkey Temple after the tribe of monkeys that guard the temple, with its all seeing eyes of Buddha looking over the entire valley. Resting on a hillock 3 km west of Kathmandu, it is one of the holiest Buddhist Chaityas in Nepal. It is said to have evolved spontaneously when the valley was created out of a primordial lake more than 2,000 years ago. This stupa is the oldest of its kind in Nepal and has numerous shrines and monasteries on its premises.

There will be a full tour briefing in the evening.

Day 2 Rafting and continue drive to Kande an hike to Australian Camp

Overnight Lodge. Included meals: breakfast, lunch & Dinner only.
Rafting Distance: 18 km. Grade: II-III. Alt. 820m. Drive 8 hours. Hike: 2 hours. Alt 1880 m.
We drive out of Kathmandu Valley following Trisuli river to Charaudi (3 hours) where we put in our raft. Our rafting will be around 3 hours. After short briefing, we put out our rafting at Kuringhat, have our lunch and continue our drive to Kande. The trek to Australian is very refreshing hike into the rain forest of the Annapurna’s Camp. From this point you can see panoramic view of Dhaulagiri I (8167m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), Fishtail (6997m.), Annapurna III (7755m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.) and Lamjung Himal (6930m).

Day 3 Hike down to Dhampus Phedi and then drive back to Pokhara and Paragliding

Overnight hotel. Included meals: breakfast only.
Hike: 2 hours. Drive 1 hour. Alt. 820m.
After having breakfast at the hotel we will hike down to Dhampus Phedi and take a drive back to Pokhara. At Pokhara you can spend your time relaxing at the lakeside and in the afternoon paragliding.

Day 4 Rest Day in Pokhara

Days 5 & 6 Chitwan

Overnight Resort, Chitwan. Included meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Alt. 100m. Drive 4 ½ hours. Two days jungle safari
Today we make our way to the World Heritage Site of Chitwan National Park, which is located in Inner Terai (the subtropical lowlands) of southern central Nepal. The park covers an area of 932km2 and lies between two river valleys. It is particularly rich in flora and fauna. Chitwan is home to many rare wild animals including the famous Royal Bengal Tiger, the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, genetic dolphin and endangered gharial, and more than 400 different species of birds.
Our stay in the heart of the park allows us to absorb all it has to offer as we become one with nature. Hearing the jungle calls of all within will meet your expectations of a subtropical national park. Activities during our stay include: guided jungle walk; local village tour; a visit to an elephant breeding center; a canoe ride; elephant back safari; elephant bathing; bird watching; and an evening of cultural dance. You can participate in all of these activities or a select few. In the evenings there is time to relax by the riverside to watch the sun set on the horizon.

Day 7 Drive Kathmandu

Alt: 1,350m. Included meals: breakfast only. Overnight Hotel.
An optional early morning bird watching tour completes our Chitwan adventure.

We then take a drive to Kathmandu. On return to your hotel your time is free to further explore Kathmandu and its shops and markets, or simply relax.

Day 8 Mountain Flight (6:30am) and Rest Day

Mountain Flight is one of the world’s elite tour to encounter close panoramic view of the Himalayas. Those who are restricted by time from going trekking however want to have a closer view of the Himalayas, lake and glacier then this is the one you might be looking for. This flight will make you speechless once you view the sunrise above the Himalayas. During the 1 hour flight you can have spectacular aerial views of the Himalayas including 3 of the world’s 10 highest peak namely, Lhotse, Cho Oyu and of course, the Mount Everest.

Day 9 Departure

Included meals: breakfast only.
