Trekking in the Annapurna Region starts slowly at a low altitude, gently winding through tropical gorges, forests, waterfalls and numerous villages up to the incredible Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. This region is inhabited by the gentle Magar and Gurung people, who are a mixture of Buddhists and Hindus. Trekking in the Annapurna region is a more people orientated experience with teahouses dotting the trail to welcome you with a hot lemon drink or chia, the local tea.
