Namaste and welcome to the Himalayans...
With the Kathmandu valley as its centre, the Nepal Mandala stretches out in all directions, covering some of the most varied and astounding terrain on earth. Raft down glacial rivers pummelling through jungle covered canyons. Skim the highest peaks in the world on daily mountain flights. Trek on trails passing villages where the gold and green of mustard and paddy paint the terraced landscape past serene villages and gleaming turquoise lakes. Whether your interest is adventurous or cultural, Nepal will satisfy all its visitors with a wide range of exciting experiences. Bungy jump from a steel bridge off a Himalayan canyon, or trek with a caravan of yaks in search of the mythical yeti. The limits of your Nepal adventure are the limits of your imagination!
Leave only footprints behind...
After many years working with one of Nepal's largest outfitters and seeing the effect that tourism can have, we have developed ways to protect nature. We carry out all of our rubbish. Our cooking is done over adapted gas or kerosene stoves, never firewood. We urge our clients to bring warm clothes for evening, as we do not believe in campfires. Nepal is rugged and beautiful but also ecologically and culturally fragile. Trek Nepal is committed to responsible travel.

In a fully supported trek, we supply all the necessary support and equipment. We make all the arrangements, including ground transportation and an orientation talk before departure.

We provide you with information about the environment, culture, wildlife, flora and fauna. We address your personal questions and concerns and work together to accommodate needs, overcome obstacles, and enjoy the outdoors.
Independent tea-house treks>>
For the budget trekker, carrying your own pack and stopping at tea-house is a fun way to explore the country. Everest, Annapurna, Langtang & Helambu circuits have plenty of teahouses to accommodate you. We can assist in planning the perfect holiday itinerary to get most out of your time and budget.
Do I need a guide?
No matter how experienced you are in outdoor environments it is important to have an orientation to a new area. Ignorance costs lives. A qualified guide is a minimum safety requirement and can also enhance your enjoyment and understanding of the region as they double as companion and interpreter.
Environmental concerns
Use iodine treated drinking water instead of boiled or bottled, cook over kerosene, shower only in solar heated water and carry out all the rubbish that you use. Trek only with environmentally responsible companies.
Time & duration
Seek out impartial advice about how long the trek should take, bearing in mind heat and terrain. Beware of trekking agencies and companies (or your travel companions) telling you can do it in less. On longer high altitude treks, allow for rest and altitude acclimatization days.
Annapurna Region
Trekking in the Annapurna Region starts at a low altitude, gently winding through tropical gorges, forests, waterfalls and numerous villages up to the incredible Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges. This region is inhabited by the Magar and Gurung people, who are a mixture of Buddhists and Hindus. Trekking in the Annapurna region is more of a cultural experience with teahouses dotting the trail to welcome you with a hot lemon drink or chia, the local tea. However, the Annapurna region is no less spectacular and ultimately delivers amazing mountain views.
Sunrise over the famous fishtail mountain, Machhapuchare, will leave you breathless. Machhapuchare is the sacred mountain of the Queen of Nepal and has never been climbed. Your trek in the Annapurna region will show you this most picturesque of all peaks from many different angles.
Everest Region
Containing three of the world’s seven highest mountains: Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Mount Everest, the Solu Khumbu region has become one of the most well trodden routes in Nepal. Winding up through the mountain countryside the vertical limits of your imagination will be tested as you feel your senses expanding vertically from valley to blue sky. High mountain pastures dotted with turquoise lakes combine with deep gorges and glacier ice flows. Feel the wide expanse of blue sky, ringed with snow capped peaks, as you sit on a windswept rock at Everest Base Camp and feel yourself almost on Top of the World.
The Sherpas are renowned the world over for their good humour, strength, endurance, and mountaineering skills. Climb through the Everest region with your hospitable and rambunctious Sherpa guides and porters, stopping at night to drink tungba, homemade millet beer, and enjoy the traditional dance and song of these proud people. Why not take a spin around the floor yourself!
Trek Nepal offers three exciting treks into this region, including Everest Base Camp, Everest Panorama, and Everest via Gokyo.
Langtang Region
Trekking through Sherpa and Tamang highlands, crossing suspension bridges strung over wide gorges, through Buddhist territory abounding with prayer flags and memorial chortens to mark every pass and sacred place, viewing the snowy peaks to the north and the green hills to the south from a 4080-metre pass, you will be in the lap of the gods.
Go direct to Langtang, or trek by way of Helambu, where the local Sherpas are friendly and the women are renowned for their beauty. Pause to explore the shores of Gosainkunda, one of a chain of lakes located in the Langtang region of the Himalayas, twenty-five miles north of Kathmandu. Beside the lake in a rocky crevasse lies the source of the Trisuli river supposedly created by Shiva when he plunged his trident into the mountainside. Meditating on the waters or wandering through a flowering mountain pasture with a herd of yaks, snow giants looming above, this is one trek that will linger in your memory. Talk to us and we will custom design your legendary journey through this beautiful region.
Expeditions and climbings
Trek Nepal Inc. has organized successful ascents on some of the towering peaks, providing services for independent climbers, private groups, and commercial expeditions. Our climbing guides are of international standard and are some of the most experienced mountaineers in the world. We offer something for every level of climber.
Safari Adventures
Royal Chitwan National Park
Located beneath the Himalayan foothills in the flat Terai region of Nepal, the dense jungles of Chitwan, abounding with wildlife, was the fabled hunting ground of British kings and Rana Maharajas. Today it is a National Park and the only thing you shoot from is a camera while on elephant back safari. You will pass through jungles filled with various species of animals and birds - the finest wildlife experience in Asia! There are about fifty different species of mammals and at least sixty-seven different types of butterflies have been spotted.
Royal Bardia National Park
Journey into the remote past when you visit the ancient jungles of the Royal Bardia National Park. In the lush jungles and open savannas of the park, you have a better chance of seeing a Royal Bengal Tiger than at any other place in Nepal. Also look out for leopards, sloth bears, rhesus monkeys, barking deer, wild boars, and the Asian one-horned rhinoceros. There are about 250 different species of birds, including some endangered ones. In the rushing Geruwa River can be found the amazing Gangetic dolphin!
Safari Activities are:
Tharu Village tour | Elephant breeding center | Canoe ride | Guided Jungle walk | Elephant back safari | Evening with cultural dance | Slide presentation featuring flora and fauna of the park | Bird watching | Elephant bathing | Jungle drive
Rafting glacial rivers
Nepal’s Himalayan glaciers feed some of the most challenging rivers in the world for white water rafting. Pummeling down through the world’s deepest gorges from the world’s highest mountains, an abundance of warm water rivers drift the adventurer past mountain scenery, terraced villages and huge white-sand beaches for camping.
Out on the river one really starts to feel that quality called River Magic as the rubber raft drifts, sometimes gently, sometimes madly, through wild rapids and tranquil, looking-glass passages. Around every bend in the river lies another exotic sight as you float through the culturally abundant countryside of Nepal. In the evening one can explore isolated villages, shower under warm waterfalls or watch the kayakers playboating. There is a wide choice of trips graded in difficulty on an international scale from Grade 1 to 6
