Trekking through green valleys, snowy passes, and unique villages is without a doubt a fun way to travel. From camping in alpine meadows, to strolling along a high desert, to visiting yak pastures in between, Tibet will not leave you wanting more. En route, near the passes, are secluded valleys whose only inhabitants are the high altitude nomads and their yaks. This pilgrimage route welcomes the convenience of combining a visit to Ganden, the principal monastery of Gelukpa and Samye. This is known as the first monastery ever built in Tibet.
