Bhairab Kund is a remote and unfrequented Himalayan region that lies close to the Kathmandu valley. The abrupt variation in altitude found here is astonishing. From Bhairab Kund one can easily view peaks including: Dorje Lakpa (6,966m), Madiya (6,257m) & Phurbi Ghhyachu (6,637m). The mix of mountain culture and natural wonder while enroute, gives a superb touch to the entire trekking experience. The highlights of this trek are the Bhairab Kund, a holy lake perched at 4,250m, the dominating skyline & the life style of the nomadic people seemingly unchanged by time. Trekkers are required to be self-contained, as there are no lodges or tea houses along this route. This trek can also be joined with a Bungee Jumping experience at the Last Resort and/or 1-2 days of white water rafting on the Bhote Koski River on the way back to Kathmandu.
