Limi Village is an ancient village set in the northern-most region of western Nepal on the Tibetan border. Due to lack to infrastructure, the capital of Humla, Simikot, can only be reached by walking 21 days from the nearest road or flying. Life in this region is extremely difficult due to harsh weather conditions and short agricultural seasons. Children are often not educated, as they are needed to work and health conditions are low. Despite the meek situation in the Karnali region, the people are usually quite friendly and happy to share their customs. While trekking in this area you will experience dramatic terrains which are both difficult and exhausting. You will be rewarded with seeing and living life in small Buddhist villages, camping in amazing locations, and visiting enchanting Hindu & Buddhist temples, shrines, and sacred places. Your trip to Limi Village will surely be an unforgettable one, in which you will experience the real Nepal.
