The Dugunagadi trek is a amazing, strategically situated on a plateau between Nepal and Tibet. The views are stunning; during the day one gazes at the Tibetan snow-capped peaks and by night, the lights of Khasa, the first Tibetan town north of the Friendship Bridge, glisten throughout the dark evening sky. The Fortress is situated at an altitude of 2084 m and was built in 1854 by the Nepali Army to attack the Bhot, a region behind the Himalaya, which is in Tibet.

Day 1 - Kathmandu to Bhotekoshi river for Bungy jump and overnight stay in last resort.( 4hrs drive)
Day 2 - Trek to Gumba via Listi through old Nepal Tibet trade route overnight on tented camp.(7-8 hrs walk)
Day 3 - Trek to Jorpati overnight in tented camp. (6hrs walk)
Day 4 - Trek to Bhairab Kunda (4320m) overnight in tented camp. (4hrs)
Day 5 - Trek to Dugunagadi Fortress (2450m) overnight in tented camp. (6-7 hrs walk)
Day 6 - Trek to Arniko Highway and drive to Tatopani (hot spring) and drive back to Kathmandu. (6hrs)

Cost Includes:

  • International & domestic airport transfers as per the itinerary.
  • Internal transport and flight within Nepal as per the itinerary.
  • 3 meals a day while trekking (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) as indicated by the itinerary.
  • Accommodation while trekking in twin sharing basis tents or local lodges / guesthouses.
  • All trekking and climbing related permit & fees.
  • English speaking, professional guides and porters.

Cost Excludes:

  • International air fare to/ from Nepal.
  • Lunch and dinner prior to the trek, please allow US$ 20 per day.
  • Meals at airports and whilst in Kathmandu/ Pokhara - allow $20 per day.
  • Entry Visa fees - at present $25 for 15 day & US$ 40 for 30 day visa on entry in Nepal.
  • Insurance which covers, medical, emergency evacuation, lost, theft expenses.
  • Drinks; both alcoholic and bottled other than sterilized drinking water.
  • Laundry fee.
  • All the foods and beverages other than the itinerary. 
  • Personal gears and expenses.
  • Tips and gratitude provided to staffs.
