Manaslu Trekking

Difficulty:

Challenging trekking to altitudes predominantly above 4,000 m/13,000 ft. with excursions and pass crossings between 5,000 m/16,000 ft and 6000 m/19,200 ft. Pre-trek training is essential. You need to be very fit for these tours, be familiar with mountain walking, be capable of carrying a backpack, and possess a fair degree of stamina.

Manaslu (8156m) is the world's seventh highest peak. This area, situated close to the Annapurna massif, was only opened for hiking in 1992. And these days Manaslu trek is now acknowledged as one of the finest trekking routes! Heading north from Gorkha, along the Burhi Gandaki river, the route then turns westwards into a high alpine valley with typical Tibetan villages and a number of fine monasteries. A steeper ascent to Larkya La pass (5212m) is rewarded by stunning views of the Manaslu and Annapurna peaks. At Dharapani, we join the Annapurna circuit and follow the Marsyangdi river south. As beautiful as the famous "Annapurna circuit", this trek leads through unspoiled regions where we will meet few trekking groups.

Day 01 - Arrive in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Alt. 1,350m / 4,428ft.

Day 02 - Sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley and spare time to prepare for the trek.

Day 03 - Drive to Arughat Alt. 535m/ 1,754ft. (5hrs)

Day 04 - Trek to Labu Besi Alt. 880m/ 2,886ft. (6 1/2 hrs)

Day 05 - Trek to Khola Besi Alt. 970m / 3,181ft. (4 hrs)

Day 06 - Trek to Jagat Alt. 1,440m / 4,723ft. (5hrs)

Day 07 - Trek to Nyak Alt. 2,300m / 7,544ft. (6hrs)

Day 08 - Trek to Ghap Alt. 2,110m / 6,920ft. (5hrs)

Day 09 - Trek to Lho Alt. 3,180m / 10,430ft. (5hrs)

Cost Includes:

International & domestic airport transfers as per the itinerary.
Internal transport and flight within Nepal as per the itinerary.
3 meals a day while trekking (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) as indicated by the itinerary.
Accommodation while trekking in twin sharing basis tents or local lodges / guesthouses.
All trekking and climbing related permit & fees.
English speaking, professional guides and porters.

Cost Excludes:

International air fare to/ from Nepal.
Lunch and dinner prior to the trek, please allow US$ 20 per day.
Meals at airports and whilst in Kathmandu/ Pokhara - allow $20 per day.
Entry Visa fees - at present $25 for 15 day & US$ 40 for 30 day visa on entry in Nepal.
Insurance which covers, medical, emergency evacuation, lost, theft expenses.
Drinks; both alcoholic and bottled other than sterilized drinking water.
Laundry fee.
All the foods and beverages other than the itinerary.
Personal gears and expenses.
Tips and gratitude provided to staffs.
