Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Trekking

Difficulty:

Challenging trekking to altitudes predominantly above 4,000 m/13,000 ft. with excursions and pass crossings between 5,000 m/16,000 ft and 6000 m/19,200 ft. Pre-trek training is essential. You need to be very fit for these tours, be familiar with mountain walking, be capable of carrying a backpack, and possess a fair degree of stamina.

This route offers staggering views of Annapurna South and other surrounding peaks and includes the beautiful Khobra Ridge. Hiking past lakes formed by the glaciers and ice falls of Annapurna south, perception and time subtly shift and one feels like a pioneer on a completely different planet.
Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Alt. 1,350m. / 4,428 ft.
Day 02 - Half day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. Rest of the day preparation for the trek.
Day 03 - Drive to Pokhara by bus. Overnight at Pokhara Alt. 820m. / 2,690 ft. (6 hrs.)
Day 04 - Drive to Nayapul and then trek to Ghandrung. 1,940m / 6,363ft. (4 hrs)
Day 05 - Trek to Tadapani Alt. 2590m./ 8,495ft. (4 hrs).
Day 06 - Trek to Dobato Alt. 3460m./ 11,348ft. (5 hrs).
Day 07 - Trek to Chistibang Alt. 3100 /10,168ft. (5 hrs).
Day 08 - Trek to Kobra Ridge Alt. 3650/ 11,972 ft. (5.5 hrs).
Day 09 - Trek to High Camp Alt. 4240m./ 13,907ft. (7 hrs).
Day 10 - Trek back to Kobra Alt. 3650/ 11,972 ft. (4 hrs).
Day 11 - Trek Chitre Alt. 2390m./ 7,839ft. (5 hrs).
Day 12 - Trek to Tikhedhunga Alt. 1540m./5,051ft. (5 hrs).
Day 13 - Trek to Pokhara Alt. 820 / 2,689ft. (6hrs).

Cost Includes:

  • International & domestic airport transfers as per the itinerary
  • 2 nights hotel accommodation on twin sharing basis with breakfast in Kathmandu
  • Internal transport and flight within Nepal as per the itinerary
  • 3 meals a day while trekking (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner) as indicated by the itinerary
  • Accommodation while trekking in two person tents or local lodges/ guesthouses
  • All trekking and climbing related permit & fees.
  • English speaking, well trained and experience guides facility.

Cost Excludes:

 

  • International air fare to/ from Nepal
  • Lunch and dinner prior to the trek, please allow US$ 20 per day
  • Meals at airports and whilst in Kathmandu/ Pokhara - allow $20 per day
  • Entry Visa fees - at present $25 for 15 day & US$ 40 for 30 day visa on entry in Nepal
  • Insurance which covers, medical, emergency evacuation, lost, theft expenses
  • Drinks both alcoholic and bottled other then sterilized drinking water.
  • Laundry fee.
  • All the foods and beverages other then the itinerary. 
  • Personal gears and expenses
  • Tips and gratitude provided to staffs.
